Montana spans the Northern Rockies, Glacier country, western river valleys, the Continental Divide, central island ranges, the Missouri River breaks, the Yellowstone Valley, badlands, prairie, and the Greater Yellowstone gateway landscape. Major managed landscapes include Montana State Parks, Glacier National Park, Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge, Custer Gallatin National Forest, Flathead National Forest, Lolo National Forest, Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest, Bitterroot National Forest, Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, and other national forest, wildlife refuge, and public land systems.
