About the Florida Zone

Florida is the statewide navigation Zone for trail, recreation, stewardship, access, and outdoor-community topics that apply across the state. Use the regional Florida Zones for local trail knowledge, clubs, events, volunteer opportunities, stewardship projects, and place-specific discussion.

Florida spans the Panhandle, Big Bend, North Florida springs country, the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, the central peninsula, the Tampa Bay and Orlando regions, the Space Coast, the Everglades, South Florida, and the Florida Keys. Major managed landscapes include Florida State Parks, the Florida National Scenic Trail, Apalachicola, Osceola, and Ocala national forests, Big Cypress National Preserve, Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park, Gulf Islands National Seashore, Canaveral National Seashore, and Florida’s coastal, spring, swamp, and paddling trail systems.

We have divided it into these regions:

Florida - North
Florida - Central
Florida - South

Please go to those regions for local information, organizations, and topics, reserving this statewide Zone exclusively for statewide topics.
