About the Delaware Zone

Delaware is the statewide navigation Zone for trail, recreation, stewardship, access, and outdoor-community topics that apply across the state. Use the regional Delaware Zones, including any cross-state Zones that include Delaware counties or county equivalents, for local trail knowledge, clubs, events, volunteer opportunities, stewardship projects, and place-specific discussion.

Delaware spans the Brandywine Valley, the Christina and Delaware River corridors, the central lowlands around Dover, the Inland Bays, the Atlantic coast, and the Delaware portion of the Delmarva Peninsula. Major managed landscapes include Delaware State Parks, First State National Historical Park, Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Cape Henlopen State Park, Delaware Seashore State Park, and the state’s greenway and water-access systems.

We have divided it into these regions:

Delaware - Northern Delaware
Delaware, Maryland & Virginia - Delmarva Peninsula

Please go to those regions for local information, organizations, and topics, reserving this statewide Zone exclusively for statewide topics.
