Introduce Yourself to Outpost

Outpost is powered by the people who bring their experience, questions, work and real-world connections into the community.

Use this Discussion to introduce yourself and help others understand what brings you here.

You might share:

  • the places or Regions you feel connected to;

  • the outdoor activities you enjoy or want to explore;

  • a club, event, organization or stewardship effort you are involved with;

  • the kind of work, knowledge or community connection you hope to find;

  • something you would like to contribute or learn.

You do not need an impressive résumé or a long history outdoors. Trail-curious newcomers, experienced participants, volunteers, organizers, land stewards, club leaders, race directors and people supporting trail communities all belong in the conversation.

Keep your introduction personal rather than promotional. Commercial pitches, vendor marketing and solicitation belong only in Vendors Tent.

Do not include private contact details, login information, private invitation links or anything else you would not want shared beyond the people who can read this Discussion.

Reply below with whatever introduction feels useful. Then use Find Your Place in Outpost to locate the Regions, clubs, events, projects and other Spaces that match your real connections and interests.

A good introduction is not the destination. It is the first trail marker toward people and places you may want to know.
