Site Feedback is where members help improve how Trailspect Outpost works.
Use this Space to report interface problems, confusing instructions, broken links, incorrect site copy, access problems and other issues with the Outpost experience. You may also suggest features, organizational changes and practical improvements.
Report a problem
Before creating a new Discussion, check whether someone has already reported the same issue. Add useful new information to an existing Discussion when it clearly describes the same problem.
A useful report includes:
-
the Space, Zone or Discussion involved;
-
the page address;
-
what you were trying to do;
-
what you expected to happen;
-
what happened instead;
-
the exact error message;
-
whether the problem happens again when you retry;
-
your device and browser when they may matter;
-
a screenshot when it helps explain the issue.
Use a specific Discussion title. For example:
Cannot reply in the Tahoe Trails Rendezvous Zone
or:
Invitation says new account registrations are not allowed
Avoid titles such as Help, Broken or It does not work.
For more detailed reporting guidance, see Getting Help With Outpost in Welcome & Orientation.
Suggest an improvement
Suggestions are easier to evaluate when they explain:
-
what you are trying to accomplish;
-
what currently makes that difficult;
-
who else may encounter the same problem;
-
what change you think would help;
-
whether there is a temporary workaround.
You do not need to design the complete solution. A clear description of the need is often more useful than prescribing a particular technical change.
Correct site information
Use Site Feedback to identify outdated instructions, incorrect links, confusing terminology, missing information or copy that no longer matches how Outpost works.
Include the exact page or Discussion and quote the relevant language when practical.
Place-based trail conditions, access changes and local resource corrections belong in the appropriate Land & Community Region rather than here.
Protect private information
Do not post passwords, login codes, private invitation links, payment information or sensitive account details.
Describe the problem without exposing private information. Staff may move part of the conversation to a private channel when account-specific details are necessary.
Keep this Space focused on Outpost
Site Feedback is for improving the Outpost interface, structure, instructions and community experience.
Use the appropriate Land & Community Region, club, event, collaboration or leadership Space for ordinary outdoor discussion. Commercial promotion and solicitation belong only in Vendors Tent.
Clear reports and grounded suggestions help the people maintaining Outpost understand what needs attention and make better decisions about what to improve next.
